SmartHomeConcierge.ai Technician Notes
- There are two major generations of Legrand radiant Smart products. The original radiant with Netatmo ecosystem uses the Legrand Home + Control app and a Smart Gateway to create a dedicated wireless mesh network for switches, dimmers, outlets, and wireless controls.
- The second-generation radiant Smart Lighting with Wi-Fi devices support Matter, allowing them to connect directly with compatible Matter controllers from Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Samsung SmartThings without requiring the original Netatmo gateway.
- Wireless Smart Switches and Dimmers can be installed without running additional wiring, making them ideal for creating or expanding 3-way and multi-location lighting control.
- Most wired switches and dimmers require a neutral wire for installation. Verify electrical wiring, firmware versions, Wi-Fi connectivity, and ecosystem compatibility before troubleshooting or replacing devices.
