Overview

The Nest app uses your home's country and ZIP/postal code to determine which languages are available for email notifications and reports.

If you select a language that is not supported in your home's country, Nest will continue sending emails in the default language for that country.

Example: If your Nest home is located in the United States and you select French, emails may still be sent in English.

Change Your Email Language

In the Nest App

  1. Open the Nest app.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Select Notifications.
  4. Tap Nest Home Report.
  5. Select a supported language.

On a Computer

  1. Sign in to home.nest.com.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Choose Notifications.
  4. Select Nest Home Report.
  5. Choose a supported language.

Important Notes

  • Available languages depend on your home's country.
  • Some countries support only one email language.
  • Unsupported language selections automatically revert to the default language for that country.
  • Changes affect Nest email notifications and Nest Home Reports.

Troubleshooting

Language Does Not Change

  • Verify the selected language is supported in your country.
  • Confirm your home's ZIP or postal code is correct.
  • Allow time for future emails to reflect the change.
  • If emails continue arriving in the wrong language, remove and reselect the preferred language setting.

Wrong Country Language Appears

  • Check the address and ZIP/postal code associated with your Nest home.
  • Update the information if necessary and save your changes.
