Created by Lamont Gibson, Modified on Sat, 20 Jun at 5:40 PM by Lamont Gibson

Overview

The ecobee Smart Doorbell Camera (Wired) includes built-in infrared sensors that provide Night Vision functionality, allowing you to see visitors and activity even in low-light or dark conditions.

Night Vision is enabled by default.

Enable or Disable Night Vision

Using the ecobee App

  1. Open the ecobee app.
  2. Tap Home.
  3. Select your Smart Doorbell Camera (Wired).
  4. Tap Settings.
  5. Select Video.
  6. Locate Night Vision.
  7. Toggle:
    • On to enable Night Vision.
    • Off to disable Night Vision.

How Night Vision Works

When enabled, the Smart Doorbell Camera uses built-in infrared sensors to improve visibility in low-light conditions.

This allows the camera to capture video even when external lighting is limited or unavailable.

Important Notes

  • Night Vision is enabled by default when the camera is installed.
  • No additional lighting is required for Night Vision to function.
  • Disabling Night Vision may reduce video visibility in dark environments.
  • Night Vision settings can be changed at any time through the ecobee app.
