Alexa Calling allows you to place voice calls to supported contacts directly from the Alexa app.

Before using Alexa Calling, ensure Alexa Communications is enabled and the contact you wish to call is available through Alexa.

Make a Call

On the Alexa App

  1. Open the Alexa app.
  2. Tap More.
  3. Select Communicate.
  4. Tap the Contacts icon.
  5. Select the contact or group you want to call.
  6. Tap Call.

The call will begin through the Alexa app.

Group Calling

Alexa supports calling eligible groups when group calling is enabled.

  1. Open Communicate.
  2. Select the desired group.
  3. Tap Call.

Ending a Call

• Tap the End Call button within the Alexa app.
• Or say "Alexa, hang up" when using a compatible Alexa device.

Calling Limitations

Alexa Calling does not support:

• Emergency numbers (911 and similar services)
• Premium-rate numbers
• Toll numbers requiring additional charges
• Three-digit service codes
• Abbreviated dialing codes
• International telephone numbers outside supported regions
• Dial-by-letter phone numbers
