View Available Services

1. Open the SmartThings app.
2. Tap Life from the navigation bar.

The Life tab displays available and installed Services for your SmartThings location.

Add a Service

Note:

Certain Services require specific devices before they become available.

Examples:

• Smart lock services require a compatible smart lock.
• Security services may require sensors or cameras.
• Device-specific services may only appear when compatible hardware is installed.

To add a Service:

1. Open the Favorites or Life tab.
2. Tap Add (+).
3. Select Services.
4. Choose the desired Service.
5. Follow the on-screen setup instructions.

Control and Edit Services

Some Services provide direct controls while others operate automatically in the background.

To access a Service:

1. Open the Favorites or Life tab.
2. Select the Service you want to manage.

Remove a Service

Warning:

Removing a Service may also remove associated automation actions and routine integrations that depend on that Service.

To remove a Service:

1. Open the Life tab.
2. Tap More Options (⋮).
3. Select Delete.
4. Tap the Minus (-) icon next to the Service.
5. Tap Delete.
6. Confirm removal.
