How to Configure Comfort Setpoints and Schedules in SmartBuildings

Overview

SmartBuildings allows administrators to manage Comfort Settings and thermostat schedules at three different levels:

  • Account Level
  • Building Level
  • Individual Thermostat Level

Changes can be applied across multiple thermostats simultaneously or configured for a single device.

Configure Comfort Settings at the Account Level

Adjust Comfort Settings

  1. Log into the SmartBuildings Web Portal.
  2. From the Home Screen, select Manage All Thermostats.
  3. Select the thermostat(s) you want to modify.
  4. Select Edit Comfort Setting.
  5. Choose the setting you want to adjust.
  6. Make the desired changes.
  7. Select Save.

Configure Schedules

  1. Select More Actions.
  2. Select Set Schedule.
  3. Choose one of the following:
    • Copy a schedule from an existing thermostat.
    • Create a new schedule.
  4. Select a time slot.
  5. Assign a Comfort Setting.
  6. Set the activity duration.
  7. Select the days of the week to repeat the schedule.
  8. Select Add Activity.
  9. Save your changes.

Configure Comfort Settings at the Building Level

Adjust Comfort Settings

  1. Log into the SmartBuildings Web Portal.
  2. Select the building you want to manage.
  3. On the Building Overview screen, select the thermostat(s) you want to modify.
  4. Select Edit Comfort Setting.
  5. Make the desired adjustments.
  6. Select Save.

Configure Schedules

  1. Select More Actions.
  2. Select Set Schedule.
  3. Choose to:
    • Copy an existing schedule.
    • Create a new schedule.
  4. Configure the desired schedule activities.
  5. Save your changes.

Configure an Individual Thermostat

  1. From the Building screen, select the thermostat you want to manage.

Modify Comfort Settings

  1. Select Comfort Settings.
  2. Adjust the desired settings.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page.
  4. Select Save Changes.

Modify Schedule

  1. Select Schedule.
  2. Create or modify schedule activities as needed.
  3. Save your changes.

Important Notes

  • Account-level changes can affect multiple thermostats at once.
  • Building-level changes affect only thermostats within the selected building.
  • Individual thermostat changes affect only the selected device.
  • Schedules can be copied from existing thermostats to simplify deployment across multiple devices.
  • Always verify Comfort Settings and schedules after making large-scale changes.
